Synopsis
Set in Gairloch in 1987, A Thousand Invisible Choices follows Eve and Cam, two strangers who meet by chance in a small Highland hotel. Eve has returned for her father’s funeral, carrying unresolved grief and the memories of a difficult past. Cam, a small-time conman from Edinburgh, is running from debt and the threat of violence. Over the course of twenty-four hours, an unlikely friendship begins to grow between two people who have every reason to keep their distance.
As they share stories, humour and moments of unexpected honesty, both are forced to confront the choices that have shaped their lives. When a discovery offers the possibility of a different future, trust is tested and each must decide whether to keep running from the past or face it. Thoughtful, moving and gently humorous, the play explores hope, redemption and the countless unseen decisions that can quietly alter the course of a life.
